off road headers

Default off road headers

I bought Jet hot long tube off road headers and was wondering if i needed to

remove the AIR or the EGR or both. and will i need to block a vacum hose.

my car is a 99 trans am. i bought the block off plates from ls1 speed and was

wondering if i needed anything else.

yes you will need to remove the egr..and air..if the headers dont have a fitting on them ..which race "off road" dont..then you need to get rid of them. The vacuum hose out of the back will need to be blocked..98s are the only ones that do not have the vacuum hose.

so yes you are all set on what you have..minus a fitting/block for the vacuum house..unless it comes with.

you will also need to delete the air/egr from the computer .
as far as the vac line all you need is a small screw and maybe put some rtv on the threads . i have used a small drywall screw on mine for years .

x2 that is my plan...i didnt mention getting egr and air tuned out..i assumed he knew. so good call on that.
