Default i need help about total timing

i just got a 98 camaro ls1,it has oliver rods, ross pistons,11.4 compression, tea stage 2 heads, comp cams 586,598 lift camshaft,ls6 intake my problem is i hooked up my lap top and was looking at the data and noticed the timing was at 18 degress at idle and when i raise the rpm up to 3000 it went to 38 degress, this is the first car ive owed with out a distributor,i know on regular carb engines that timing is ok ,but ive seen on here where the lsi shouldnt be more than 30 degress total, let me know ,i really would appreciate it

Was this during a WOT run or part throttle crusing? AT WOT you shouldn't see more than 28-30 degrees. But during cruising it will go higher. The highest timing number in the 98 timing table is 41 degrees at low speeds and low rpms.
