Default 3rd gen headlight module in 4th gen

ok, with out the whole story, i need a headlight control module. i ended up gettting one off of a 3rd gen Formula , and iwanted to know if they are compatible. i have already hooked up the two plugs, and they fit fine, i would rather find out if it will work, and not burn something up , before i just "try tuning on the headlights." thanks for any help

They're not even the same between early (single headlight) and late (dual headlight) fourth gens. They might be compatible (i.e. same connections) but they are definitely different somehow because they have different part numbers.
