Default drag races this w/e for the first time in my C5Z, Q's...

i'm gonna take my fairly new to me Z06 to the drag races this weekend for the first time, just wanted to see if you guys could give me some pointers on tire PSI, launch RPM, shift points, TCS setting, ect, i'm running the stock 295 F1's and my only mod is a vararam for now, we're planning on icing the intake down between runs that's about all i've got, any help would be great

Practice. It takes awhile to learn how to launch the corvette. On stock tires you should be able to pull low 12's. Dont WOT on the start. I just ease into it until you know it will hook up and then WOT. I have had seen bad experiences with icing down the intake. It can fog up your windshield if not careful depending on the weather. And for TCS I just put it on competion mode.

I just ran a 12.35 @ 116 on street tires by launching at 2900 rpm, slipping the clutch for the first ten feet then rolling into full throttle, shifting at about 6100 rpm to second, 6300 everytime after that. Street tire psi around 22 or so is best, but it wont help much.

Good luck.
