Default Anyway to read knock sensors with a carb setup?

I was just curious if there was anyway to read them without a pcm or with just running a pcm and couple wires. I'm tuning my car and not really sure how good i am at 'listening' for knock haha.

I was just considering the idea because i had the car run out of gas so i added some 87 i had here and now it diesels when i shut it off onces its at operating temp. I just want to make sure the car isnt knocking and such at WOT. It seems to run fine to me at 28 degrees total timing. I am running Tr6 plugs too.
