Default 99 ls1 fbod - front & rear o2 the same?

i am having a problem with the car. it is stock except for lid, ory, and muffler. i removed air/egr also. bank 2 sensor 1 o2 is bad. that is the passenger side front, correct? can i just switch it with one from the back? as the rear o2s don't do anything that would affect performance, right? basically i don't want to buy another o2 when i think i have 2 still on the car that are fine (rear) - and since the rears don't do anything, it would be in my best interest to just swap them because having a bad o2 in the rear would just shoot [another] code.

am i thinking correctly? thanks in advance.

The sensors themselves are identical, only the harness is the difference in part number.
