Default Spring removal help...

I cant the the rubber spring mount removed from the spring. The bolt comes out but the mount stays on the spring.... The spring is compressed and can come off the bottom cup. These are the stock springs btw

It just needs a little persuading. A couple whacks with a mallet should take care of the problem. Uncompress the spring first.

Yeah, a rubber mallet will work just fine. Or a 5 lb slegde too. Mine required a little persuading when I changed them.

thanks, I just ended up cutting up the shock to get the spring out

That'll do it too. Funny story with mine, we were taking the spring off the right shock, and my buddy decided to use the impact wrench to take off the spring compressor. Fortunately, all that happened was the spring went into an arc and we had to cut it to get it off the shock. He won't do that again!
