Default Finally found a way of removing water spots

ok ive tried everything on removing these nasty *** looking water spots. ive tried vinagar, toothpaste, a buffer, store brand water spot removal and nothing worked. my car sat in the same spot for a year in the direct sun as i was swapping the motor. so after trying a million solutions one fianally worked. i baught #00 steel wool and mothers power metal polish. i cleaned my windows with soap and water, then took the steel wool poured some polish on it and went to town. it doesnt come off that easy so dont be scared. some might be easier or harder to remove cause some might be worse then others, mine was as bad as they get. now on my back window the spots were really tough to get off so i had to rub pretty good and it got them out and didint even come close to scratching the windows. i wish i took before and after pictures to show you guys its amazing. i just thought id post this cause i always see people asking and everyone gives solutions that alot of times dont work. ive tried everything and this plain works.

#00 steel wool will not scratch glass at all (DO NOT USE IT ON MIRRORS THOUGH IT WILL SCRATCH THOSE!) and the steel wool also works great on CHROME wheels to get rid of surface rust or any other unwanted debris on any kind of CHROME. it SCRATCHES POLISHED ALUMINUM (chrome look-a-like) wheels. learned this from detailing cars years ago. also, razor blades work well on windows (without tint, unless you're removing the tint with it) for getting off relentless bug guts or any other road grime, sap, and any other bothersome debris! just my 2 cents! IT WORKS! alcohol/paint thinner also gets sap off of painted surfaces too, just dont use a really strong paint thinner, and always make sure you clean it off with soap and water afterward and compound and/or wax the surface after using alcohol or paint thinner on it. i'm sure most of you know this, but like i said, i'm just giving my 2 cents to help out the fellow LS1 owners! thanks!

It wont scratch your window. I used steel wool to get stubborn sticker adhesive off and not a scratch on the window.

Straight paint thinner (moneral spirits) works wonders on polished aluminum!! Then use any wheel cleaner to remove the residue!! Works great on stainless steel as well!

Is a #00 steel wool any different from an SOS Brillo pad?
