Default K&N Drycharger filter cover for wet rainy days

Has anybody tried one of these? Any disadvantages to putting it on and leaving it on all the time?
Thanks for the help,

Not needed. I have driven my car through some deep water with no affects on the cone.

Please stop worrying about the small things and enjoy your car.

Check your driverside wheel well.
Here is what happened to me. Once I filled the hole I have not had any issues.

I had one on my FWI on my old GP. No adverse effects, I guess it offers piece of mind. Personally I prefer CAI, then you don't have to worry about it.
