2000 Z28 Vs. Z06 Vs. 05-08 GT Ok to start out this wasnt really what i would call a race but it was kind of funny. I am comming down woodward ave where it meets 696 in Ferndale MI. In front of me is an s-10 blazer, next to him is a newer Mustang gt ( who is driving 10 under the speed limit the whole time) and next to me...brand new looking Z06. Now i know a camaro isnt going to keep up with the Z06 but i have never seen one take off in real life, and i really wanted this guy to nail it. So we pull out and the blazer in front of me goes straight, the other three of us turn right to get onto the service drive. I nail it, come out onto the service drive sideways shifting into second. The mustang does nothing. I'm up to about 90 by the time i hit the entrance ramp, which is less than a quarter mile from the turn, and as i hit the begining of the entrance ramp, the corvette goes around me at about 115-120 im guessing. lol. HOLY **** is that a nice car. I catch up to him on the freeway and give him the thumbs up and a smile. He then nails it at about 70 and he is ******* gone. I recognize my place and remain under 80. But after that all i could think about was that poor mustang guy cause he must have been scared shittless with me sliding around him, and a 500HP Z06 doing the same. lol. Just thought i'd share.
