ive got a stock 99 ls1. just recnetly started idling roughly around 500-600..it sounds like it wants to die out on me but doesnt. then when accelerating, around 1300 itll bog down on me for a second. once i get up and going it seems to be fine...first thing i thought it could be was my fuel pump. cars got 73k on it...

if it is the fuel pump, where do you guys suggest i go for one. i tend to stay away from the advance and pepboys scene.

If it is the fuel pump, I suggest going ahead and getting the Racetronix pump. It is a custom fit Walbro unit, and is a quality piece. They are a sponsor here also.

It "sounds" like the fuel pump, the only way to tell is by watching the fuel pressure under load. It could even be as simple as the Fuel filter.

thanks for the advice guys, but believe it or not..it went away. i started my car the next day and everything was back to the way it should be. as farfetched as it sounds, i think i got bad gas.. ive been using Sonoco since i got the car then i used lukoil the other day.i truly belive thats it..or thats what ill tell myself anyway.
