Has anyone built a self contained oiling system for a Vortech?
After reading part of the scavenger oil pump thread for Turbos, it got me wondering if a dedicated oil reservoir and pump would work with a vortech, or Powerdyne XB 1A gear drive? Has anyone here built one?

It would work, but it's just another thing to go wrong. Why mess with it when you have a source of filtered, pressurized oil right next to your Vortech?
If you want a self-contained Vortech, check out the newer V-3. It's just got a splash paddle to keep the oil flying around, and they fill it with a good synthetic that needs changing like every 3K miles.
People moan about tapping their oilpan like it's a huge job, but it's pretty easy. Or do it the best way, with the motor out of the car and a welded on bung.
