Steel Vs Aloy Driveline?
Whats the weight difference in a steel vs Aloy driveshaft?
I can get a steel DL made for under 100 bucks (I work at Inland Truck Parts),where its about 450 to have an aloy shaft made.
Since the 9inch install i have the typical 60+ vibration and im rather tired of it. Also doesn't help that I hear with the driveshaft being a 1/2 an inch shorter than what its suppose to be I could rip the tail housing out of the M6.

Mild steel to chrome moly there is little difference in weight. The steel to aluminum there is a big difference. We had an Impala SS that we changed it over to an aluminum driveshaft and seen 3hp at the wheels difference. I guess it's all in what kind of budget you have.
