Default Anyone fabbed their own housing bracket for torque arm?

I,m in the process of building a 98 Camaro drag car and want to use a GM 14 bolt rear end. It will make a very durable rear with it's 9.5" ring and 33 spline axles but weighs only 32lbs. more than a 8.5" 10 bolt. Moser can shorten and respline the axles for less than $200 because they are not tapered. I believe I can set up this to be race ready for under a $1000 including a spool.
My question is has anyone fabbed their own brackets to a rear to attach the torque arm. Any ideas or pics will be appreciated.

You would have to find a shop that can braze weld onto cast iron to fab a 9.5" gm housing to fit. I know there are some really good differential choices and they come with a 1350 series pinion yoke.

I knew welding to the cast iron center section would be a toughie. My thoughts are to weld a flat brace to the axle tubes on each side of the center section and maybe u-bolt them just behind the pinion for front support. Then I would fabricate attachments for the torque arm. I'm gonna bet someone on here has done something similiar.

I've seen an old 12 bolt car housing where they fab'ed up a brace from the rear end cover using the 12 cover pand bolts and then ran support rails to the front of the housing. Then it looked like it boxed in around the pinion bearings. It used to bend TA's and pull the front wheels up about 2 feet and it held up very well.
