cam choice new 2010 camaro stroked LS3 / build pics
looking for some cam opinions for my new build, im putting together a 415ci LS3 with cnc ported LS3/L92 heads, this engine will be going in my new 2010 camaro, the short block/rotating assy is done and the heads are ready to go.
im was thinking about getting another Comp Cams XR281HR to start with, i had this cam in my 6.0L L92 s-10 and it ran great in that engine and should be even tamer in the larger ci LS3 stroker,, i dont want to go with a huge cam right away until i find out just what will be availible for tuning the new camaro pcm.

im going with the gm shorty's,(i have had 2 vehicles with shorty headers and single exhaust that have run in the 10's, this car will have true dual exhaust and a cat back system so flow isnt an issue)
i have heard the pcm will be the same as the 2008 LS3 vette, so i already have HPtuners ready to go

Look into LG's G6 line of cam's The G6-3 or the G6-4 would probably make a great cam for a 413/416 LS3.
Headers... might want to check and see if the Long tubes for a G8 GT will fit, since the cars are built on the same platform.

Lucky you! I have a couple of LS3 Crate engines and a Harrop Supercharger for an LS3. Since my car will be the GMPP "Bolt on" project car they won't let me come out swinging
With the Automatic and the cubes I would stay VERY mild. It will be a sleeper for sure. 212/218 will give it a bunch of torque and make decent power.
Mine is a 1SS stick car with no options. Should have it built in the first run.
