Default Where to Set Timing for Max Power

I have a 2000 Camaro with Patriot LS6 heads,(224/224 .581 lift cam),3600 Stall,3.27 gear. 125 Wet Harris Plate Kit. My timing is set at 22 degrees right now.

I ran last night 10.90 in 1/4 mile,12.4 on motor...... 60 foot 1.65....

My old tune was set at 27 degrees and ran 11.7 on motor, never tested on nitrous..

My question is can I set the timing back to 27 degrees and be safe? maybe add racing gas?

Any suggestions?

Do not run 27 degrees of timing with nitrous unless you're running pure race gas. Nitrous burns the charge much quicker and you need to retard your timing so you still have peak cylinder pressure in the 13-15 degree ATDC range. If you don't retard, you risk having peak cylinder pressure close to when your piston is at top dead center. With the rod almost vertical, it will have no leverage on the crank and parts will begin to break.

High octane race gas will slow the burn somewhat, but it's still best to have timing retarded an appropriate amount.

I would just look into a stand alone syatem and keep it filled with 116. You could safely raise your timing and have a steady supply of fuel.
