Safe to keep running my 10 bolt?
Hey Everyone.
Ive got an '89 iroc-z that im putting my LS1/T56 into.
The motor should do 380 - 400rwhp. Its not amazingly powerful.
However, the problem is, the engine & trans have sucked my bank account dry.
Ive got a '00 LS1 rear diff in the car, auburn posi, Richmond 3.73 gears, with a LS1 3" aluminum driveshaft.
I havnt had the car at the track yet in 2 years, so if i go, i wont be going untill i save for a new rear diff.
How would the diff/shaft stand up for regular daily driving around town? If i take the car on a road trip, do i need to worry that if i punch it to get through a light sometime im going to be stranded 1000miles from home?
If it means the rear will be more reliable, i have no problem buying some moser axles & a gurdle for it as its far less then $2.2k for a S60 or 9"
All info GREATLY appreciated.
