Default Use a truck manifold for an LT1 turbo build?

why doesn't anyone use a truck manifold (92-99 1500) for an LT1 forced induction build?

They're plentiful, cheap, looks like they should let out in a decent area... might have to get rid of AC. Am I missing something?

Here's some examples from ebay...

I'd be curious to see an answer to this. I know they don't flow REAL well, but I'm sure they'd be good for around 800 or so whp. Wonder what they'd look like in a F-body, wonder if they'd drop too far and hit the k-member.

Why bother when can just use factory LT1 manifolds... they probably flow better than those truck ones.
