Default Remote Start Time Prolong

I try to extend my running time with the remote starter by pressing lock and pressing the remote starter button again after it remote starts, thinking I would get a 20 minute run but the car shuts down after 10 minutes. Am I doing something wrong or is the system in question?

Why would you want your car to run for 20 minutes without driving it?

......Thank you I have read the book.....

......I dont think it really matters as to why I want it run it for 20 minutes.....

Its comments like these that really dont help people with genuine questions. Plus it's Friday...If you wouldn't mind, please save the negative responses for Monday.

To reitterate, if my system is not working properly I would like to confirm from anyone who is kind enough on this board as I am going to see the dealer again next week. So I am asking if I am activating it right so I dont have them say to me I am doing it wrong. Once again I start it and I try to command more time but I only get the regular 10 minutes. Lock, Start few seconds, engine ignites, Lock, Start few seconds, car should run for 20 minutes? I only get the standard 10.

Thank you and as my building manager says have a great TGIF!

I've never tried it by doing the process right away, only way I've gotten 20 minutes was by doing the processs near the end of the original 10 minute cycle, then it stayed on for the additional 10. Not to say it doesn't work the other way but that's the only way I've ever tried.

Your system is working properly. You can extend start time by hitting the remote start button again but it will only run for 10 minutes after you hit the button a second time. For instance, if you hit the button again 1 minute after remote starting it the total run time will be 11 minutes. In order to get a 20 minute total run time, you would have to hit the button again right at the end of the first ten minute mark.
