Does anyone here have a new Silverado? If so mine at times has a clunk that feel like from the drive shaft the dealer said it's the yolk and all it takes is to grease it. Now our experence on this board with dealerships we don't trust them that well any idea?

Full of it. Is it a 1 or 2 piece driveshaft?

A few initial thoughts, it could be the pinion shaft or tailshaft or something, but my guess would be a poorly installed U-joint.

My 2007 1500 Silverado would do it. It would occur sometimes when I came to a little harder than usual stop, and then clunk when I let off the brake. Other times it would occur when I would slow almost to a complete stop then let off the brakes and coast and then clunk. It felt as if the transmission hadn't downshifted into 1st and then abruptly did it. Some other truck owners were told by the dealers it was due to "aggressive driving" habits.
