So my Impala SS with the stuff listed below FLIES off the line....until 3rd gear when it bogs...what's gonna give me the most gains?

I would think open exhaust, down pipe
our stock exhaust: 2.5 into 2.25 y pipe
I think a good aftermarket would be 3 straight into 2.5 y
I think this is the key!!

see and that's where I've experienced the biggest gains already is opening it up. The intake, tbs, and res delete made it feel like a totally diff car so that would make sense. and Panther it pains me not to be able to throw one on there but this poor boy's on a budget haha...it will come eventually

Those that have tunes...has it helped you out any in the top end? If so, how much?

im with u on money. Sad but even with the other mods 3rd is so tall nothing sort of forced induction, N20, or major N/A build is gonna really do ALOT for 3rd. The tune helped 3rd. Same road i was alble to his 142 in the same place i was only able to hit 130 before.

Better rockers, springs and rods....get those rpm's up and have more power in the top end....also a tune.

chanigng u finalll Drive ratio will help out all the gears.

careful....shorting your final drive will give you more mechanical advantage, however it may make your first gear so traction limited that you may never catch up to a stock geared LS4. Always a trade-off

Ya the wrong gears could easily turn 1 gear to a half throttle or less of a gear.
