Question 6 CD changer radio Swap

Just bought an OEM GM 6 CD changer radio off of ebay for my 2007 MCSS. It is supposed to have come out of a 07 Monte. I was wondering if there was anything else I needed to do other then take out the original one (it was the upgrade single cd player with mp3 jack) and replace it with the 6 cd changer radio, plug in the factory wire harness and antenna? I understand I may need to take it to a dealer to have them program it for my car with the computer. It should be nothing more then a direct swap, right?

I think so. Dealer has to program it is all.

It's a simple, 15 minute swap. The worst part is getting ***-raped at the dealer for the $60-$80 it costs to get it programmed for your vehicle.

Easy swap, I did the same thing myself. Just pull the trim around the radio off and four screws hold it in place. I lucked out on mine. The dealership chalked it up under the factory warranty and didn't charge me a dime. They wrote it up as a power loss to the radio caused it.
