Off Topic: Winter project car
Well guys, I have been looking around for a project car (fbody) to toy with this winter. The GXP is fine but I want something to mod that I don't depend on daily to get to work (and is RWD). I test drove a 1997 trans am two days ago and I have to say, my GXP felt a lot faster than it. I was pretty disappointed. I guess I am back at square one or maybe I will just wait to save up enough to get a GTO. IDK..
Are any of you guys taking on winter projects?

giving the 106K mile Impy some suspension bits from the GP GXP (struts/anti-sway bar), got a new set of tires in the living room (Conti ExtremeContact DWS), rather expensive exhaust modification, shift kit, new HPT tune and figure it should be sitting at a conservative 400 horse/450 lb-ft. Shooting for mid 12's @ ~114 MPH when I hit the track next season. Then I will casually go challenge my cousin who has a '99 Z28 with a 3600 stall and bitch-slap his car into next week at the strip. He had a '95 Z28 which the stockish SS pulled on and he has been talking smack about his new LS1 ride. Life is good!

Nice projects for sure! You guys are inspiring me to pump more more into the GXP. braided steel brake lines and a manifold swap could be short installs (less than a day), provided I have all of the stuff on hand to do it... hmmm...
