Let me say this upfront, I've searched! I have read several threads on shift kits, but I still have a question. Can someone tell me the advantages of buying a transgo, zzp or any other brand shift kit over the DIY kit? It seems to me the DIY is usually at least $30 cheaper than even buying a used name brand kit. Here is a link to the DIY kit I'm referencing:

It's up to you basically. We can't answer this question for you as I don't think many people here go to Home Depot to grab parts to put them in there trans. Instead they purchase a kit from a company who has put one together for $30.
