Default Cold Air Inductions CAI for sale

I have a COld Air Induction CAI for sale. I will be installing my turbo kit in a couple of months and I won't be able to use this anymore. It's only been on the car for 5-7k miles. It is the silver one.

Asking $175 shipped and I am pretty firm on that price.

Had a member with a gxp ask me about this intake. I just wanted to check with everyone and see if this will work on a gxp since it is for an impala.

It will only fit the Impala SS, since the front core support and header pannels are different. You might be able to make it fit though with a little fab work.

Just curious as to why everyone prefers these to the regular k&n intakes? I don't know an awful lot about them is why I ask. From everything i've read the open style k&n's always make a couple more horse than the closed style volant's (and this one). Yet everybody with the ls4's says the cold air inductions are better.

I may be interested in buying it so i'm just asking if anybody has scientific evidence as to why they're supposed to be better for our cars.

These are supposed to offer thermal reduction by directing the intake air to come from the front vs K&N style which is prone to sucking hotter air.
