i went to pull out of my driveway this morning, drove maybe 50 ft stopped to pull out, and it made a small bang and i lost drive. reverse still works and if i put it in first it very slowly will move. any ideas as to what specifically this is?, im going to be building a beefy trans so i dont have this issue again, so some recomendations on what to order would be helpful.

so its a broken forward apply band, and of course its the last piece removed during the tear down, might as well replace everything i can while im in there, and not have to worry about it. ill definetely be calling Dave from tripleedge monday to get his opinion on what will last.
