Default Ls2 intake

Will a ls2 intake work with a gp gxp? And if so what's the difference between putting a ls6 vs a ls2?

Yes it will. I believe it requires more modification than the LS6 and the LS6 will net you higher gains.

No more than the ls6 at least with the ls2 intake you can save money by not having to buy a fuel rail or Injectors..you will need to find a throttle body solution however you can use a ls2 or use a ls4 with an adaptor

No one has a specific flow chart or dynoed back to back on a 5.3. I couldn't say yes or no. I've had my buddies ls6 intake next to mine and to be honest just by eyeballing you cant tell which one is better.

Porting on the ls2's people have gained 10rwhp according to pikespeedshop.

Keep in mind though before you pull the trigger that there are certain things that you will need...

A. Tuning or way to tune
B.modified valley cover
C. Relocation of opsu.
D. A throttle body solution--this could also lead into upgrading to a bigger maf while you're at it and more money. You could use your stock TB but you'd need an adapter. With a 90mm ls2 throttle body you'd need that plus a pigtail harness (10 bucks)

These are things you'd also need with a ls6/1 intake but you could see where nickle and dime here and there can add up.

Quick Reply: Ls2 intake
