oil pan gasket

Default oil pan gasket

Apply a 5 mm (0.20 inch) bead of sealant GM P/N 12346141 or 12378577 (Canadian P/N 89022195), or equivalent 20 mm (0.80 inch) long to the engine block. Apply the sealant directly onto the tabs of the front/rear cover gasket that protrudes into the oil pan surface.

This is what it says on the repair manual anyone have a clue what that is referring to, the area?

I have no clue but i got the new gasket and used silicone as a safe measure and its holding well

Did your just follow along the black rtv they already had on both sides with sealant
