Shaker Pics as Requested
heres the shaker, although non functional in the traditional sense i have found that it keeps the transaxle 15 degrees cooler in the summer (which was the goal). i call this a full floating system, basically using a force fit between the scoop, aluminum rail and firewall. i can get a pattern for the hole in the hood come summer, its a 77-81 scoop, the grille on the scoop is one i lasercut during college, fastened with 3m outdoor double stick, hood is showing wear finally, no surprise its rattle can flat, considering ive had the setup since 2008 im happy with it. also because i know somone will notice im totally stock except for the exhaust cutout right now, money better spent in my 70 firebird, i should probably post the pattern for the headlight intake and revise that since i can 3d print a new funnel for it, for some legit style venturi ram air.

ha alrighty, i get plenty of fans.... and even more haters, but back when i was still using my warranty i would get mechanics coming outta the shop to ask which performance package i had to order to get it.... heh anyway come spring ill post a pattern. its just a sawzall job on an oem hood... only downside is cant leave the strut on to shut the hood because it torques it when closed. back in school they always complained about "pushing your darks" meaning use contrast and push things as far as you can without getting ridiculous. i feel like pontiac missed an opportunity this is the line as far as im concerned. were mixed reviews are common but can be mistaken as a factory option. honestly i would like to see more of these!

A hood tach would be sweet.... anyway yeah it is functional for heat dissipation.... it would be totally worthless as an air intake because..
1. shakers were a poor intake on the firebirds to begin with and those had windshields with a far steeper angle creating high pressure in that area.
2. heat rises the airbox would cook all the time
3. rerouting the intake tract through the Maf and throttle body would require a whole 180* turn losing tons of velocity
4. i already have a modified headlight i can use as a ram intake.
