Chrome Rim Flakes
Folks,
Not sure if this is the right forum but I figured I'd try.
I like the chrome rims on the super.
The rims polish to a mirror finish.
When changing over to my winter rims, I noticed that inside the barrel of the rim the chrome is peeling & flaking in areas. You can't really see it with the wheels on the car.
Before I put the rims back on - outside of re-plating is there anything I can do to "Stabilize" the situation? I was going to use 0000 fine steel wool to clean the spots and spray clear cloat plasti dip over it.
My goal is to simply stop this from getting worse/spreading to the front or lip.
Thoughts?
