Hello just really quick I have owned 30+ LSX vehicles. Still own a 05 C6 Corvette and 00 Suburban. I picked up a 09 Impala SS for a daily from a vehicle auction.

I'm getting Cylinder #4 misfire code. I have changed the plugs,swapped coil packs, done wires, seafoamed the motor etc. Anyone else run into something like this? I have read that the lifters go bad on these cars due to the D.O.D. Is this true? I assume it could be a bad injector as well? Any help would be appreciated

Wow 30 LS cars, damn dude that's impressive. While it has not happened to me sounds like you have hit all the likely things. Try swapping around the injector and see if the misfire moves. DOD can be problematic, if you have access to tuning maybe see what happens if you disable it.

#4 is a DoD cylinder. Might try pulling the valve cover off quick and seeing if either of the rockers on cylinder 4 have play in them.

thanks for the replies. I'm surprised I haven't seen more replies to people having similar issues. I googled and I seen a few people having misfire issues with D.O.D cylinders
