Default New write up, crank hub removal and installation

I keep seeing that alot of people are having trouble with this on the forums so I decided to do a write-up today explaining things step by step. Hope I didn't leave anything out. The methods used here were by me and if you use a different method that is fine, this is just what has worked well with me.

Couple things, if I may...

The chain/hub thing looks like it'll work fine for an auto. For a manual the only thing required to do is put the car in 5th gear and pull the e-brake.

The other thing is it really isn't a good idea to tap on the crank hub when installing it. It can damage your thrust bearing. Here's a very easy, cheap install tool to make:

Good stuff should help alot of people out, its not the easiest thing to do without the right tools and know how.

Just wondering why you chained up the crank hub over just holding it with a crescent wrench?

That is the same as asking why didn't I just use a vice grip or why didn't I chain the flywheel or why didn't just use an impact gun or why i didn't just losen the bolt with the belt still on. I used a chain because it was the first thing that came to mind and if I tried to use a crescent wrench I can already imagine the headaces of it slipping off and dropping tools. I might snap a picture with that method and add it to the page.
