id go the coil pack route myself, it is more expensive but the benifits are well worth IMO, im doing it when i have the extra coin (thank goodness my 140k opti is still alive)
if your dead set on an opti, MSD is the best

I paid $255 last week for a vented 95-97 unit from the PartsLadi off e-bay. The MSDs are $500 and havent proven any benefit in performance or reliability over the GM unit. I'm doing a vented conversion, my unvented GM unit still works fine but won't work with my Comp Double roller timing chain set on this new set up. I have less than $450 total in the vented conversion, using all GM parts except for the opti harness which I got from Mike at EFI Connection. The GM units have treated me well so I'll continue to use them. Also until EFI Connection has their new harness out on the market, any coil pack conversion still uses the opti.

Stay away from cheap e-bay units unless you like changing these out.
One in the same, cross reference the parts numbers to be sure.
Vented 95-97 F-car
Delphi CZ20003/Delco 1104032
Unvented 93-94 F-car
OEM Delphi CZ20009/Delco 10457702
GM uses the Delco part numbers

The MSD's are vented even for the earlier non vented style they sell the conversion is a lot less involved, so for a hundred bucks more you could have a nice ugrade and a vented opti without changing everything around it. I just got one and I feel it is a far superior piece over the stocker regardless of what anyone says. Once you put the two side by side and look at the internals you will want to beat your Delphi/Delco with a large mallet..... Not saying they don't work well and the MSD is in the middle of the installation, but just on impression, weight, and quality...definitely MSD. If for nothing else they eliminate one entire seal to fail and the cap is held on with more bolts. Mine is on a 4x4 and the stock double seal failed big time. After comparing the two I wouldn't put a stocker on a go kart IMHO, time will tell hopefully I won't change my tone, I feel confident I won't have moisture/water problems with the MSD.

crookedbowtie,
I imagine you got the updated version? The first one they released seemed to have some issues, if they solved it, then that's good because in theory it should be a better peice over the Delco unit. The vented conversion isn't so much for reliabilty, my unvented worked fine, but your limited in timing chains choices with the 92-94 set up.
