Default 3rd gen steering wheel adapter on 4th gen t/a

Has anyone ever used, or know if a 3rd generation steering wheel adapter will work on a 4th gen t/a or camaro? wanting to install aftermarket steering wheel and i do not want the air bags anymore. Thanks!

Just be carful the insurance company wont pay off if the airbag is removed if its a street car. Found out the hard way.

Ed Wright had a third gen Firebird wheel in his Trans Am, it should be a direct bolt on.

I've got a Grant steering wheel in my car, and I used the 3rd gen adapter kit. You have to completely remove the clockspring out of the column, and then you have to use some washers between the adapter and the black cup-looking piece to space it out a little so that it doesn't rub. Other than that, it bolts right up.

But as said above, be careful doing this in a street car for insurance reasons.
