Cam Installitation help
I have a 95 Pontiac Formula t56 with pacesetter long tubes run with an x pipe and dual morosso spiral flows, 4.56 gears, hays performance clutch, and cold air induction system. The Car has 155,000 miles on it, engine rebuilt "stock" at 80K.Heads and everything inside the engine are completely stock. I want the cc306 cam. i love the idle and my gears want RPM. What length pushrods do i need, lifters, rockers, guideplates, and springs do yall suggest? Also is this the right cam for me? I want a rough idle, but also want good performance.

You can run it. I recommend to get some higher flowing heads to really take advantage of that cam. You'll want to upgrade your springs. You don't need diff pushrods, or guide plates unless you get NSA rockers. You can put it in but you should do some extra things if you really want the power from that cam

for anything performance related with high lift NSA rockers are the only way to go with hardened pushrods and guide plates. im running comp cams 918 beehives with there RT rockers and trickflow 7.2" harded guide plates. seems to be a kick *** set up. but the NSA rockers do make a bit of chatter with the guideplates but idc. i went with just roller tips because of a budget. but im very happy with the set up and the springs will support a pretty hefty cam for when i do that in the spring hopefully. hope that helps

Lets ask this... You plan on doing any internal motor work?? If not then I would recommend the CC503... They call it the "Biggest cam for stock heads" AND you wont need so much RPM.. I know your gears love it but your stock bottom end wont... the CC306 call for a lot of it!
