Default I went over to the dark side... kinda

I bought a 38k mile 2001 Z28 with a seized LS1. The car is CLEAN as hell and has full tubular suspension, full bolt on's and alot of other extras. The car has pretty much everything done to it. It has a set of ported 317 heads on the motor now that came from an LQ9 that will also be comig the the car. The LQ9 spun a bearing but has all ARP hardware in it. I will be putting the LQ9 back in with a smallish sized cam.

Don't worry, it will be my new DD, the LT1 is still the go fast car! I will post pictures as soon as I trailer it home saturday!

I've got one too. Mine took my attention for a while, but I came back to my roots with the LT1

I might put a plate that says LT1 "for the win" on the 01. That would be hilarious. I will post pictures once I pick it up tomorrow.

Well damn, nice ride. You said the ls1 in there is seized up right? No chance of gettin it to spin at all? Get that lq9 in there and lets see what she does.

Check engine light was on because the car was in the on position... sorry. The LS1 that's in there now actually unlocked but it sounds like death. I have never heard a motor sound so bad! I will be tearing down the LQ9 and getting it to the machine shop ASAP. I was to put a small cam in and mill the heads to get around 11.1 compression. It will be a daily driver so I can do too much yet.

Can't beat it for 5k! I hope the MS3 that is in the LS1 isn't too chewed up.

I got my LT1 powered Trans Am for $5,000 and thought I had a deal. The car looks awesome, just get that motor running then it will be worth about $15,000.
