Correct me if I am wrong, but that would be the 5-speed they never put behind a 350 because it wont handle ANY meaningful amount of torque.

Even the 93 T56 is a bit torque challenged.

it should bolt up, but the length may be different where the shifter locates, and as caprice stated, i don't believe those trannies were ever bolted up to any 350 f-bod from the factory. i believe the spline count on the input shaft is different as well so you would have to use a 3rd gen clutch. not even sure if that would work w/ the clutch assy on a 4th gen.

The t5 is not a performance tranny and would not live behind even a bone stock lt1 for very long.

There is a reason they only used them with v6s. I think they were only rated to like 300ft lbs of tq at the flywheel.

only way to make a t5 last in these cars is a well built one, a stock one will turn to dust in short order
