Engine Bay Tutorial?

Engine Bay Tutorial? Has anyone ever done a writeup on cleaning up the engine bay?
The car may be parked for a little while and I want to clean up the engine bay as much as possible as well as fabbing an upper rad support for an LS1 lid or other custom intake. Thinking maybe just a sheet metal base with the oblong K&N on there.
Gimme some ideas guys!
Also probably get rid of all the ABS stuff and plumb in the line lock
