Default couple questions concerning the mighty LT1

Hello guys first time in this section and need a little help. Buddy of mine just installed an LT4 cam in his 95 Trans am with a six speed. Should he go 4.10 gears or what do you guys think. Second question what do you LT1 guys due for tuning. He got offered a good deal on a Hypertech programer is it worth it.
Thanks

don't bother w/ hypercrap. 4.10's is what most M6 people go with. madtuner, pcm4less, trifecta are the top 3 mail order tune co's

+2 for Madtuner. Please, please for the love of god dont waste your money on Hypertech. 4.10's are the norm for a 6 speed.
