msd coil on stock opti,,,bad idea?

Default msd coil on stock opti,,,bad idea?

Ive got a 94 ta with a bad opti, Im replacing it and currently am running an msd coil. Will the extra volts hurt the new opti?

ive had one on my car for the longest time prob 50k miles and i finally changed my opti about a year ago. i didnt change it cause it was bad i changed to the newer cover when i rebuilt my motor and put my double roller on and ewp on. so you should be A OK.

i have the msd blaster coil on mine to with a stock opti, no problems, but my opti is a freak cause it has 150k on it and still going good

The stock opti will be fine. Just make sure your wires are in good shape and the connections are firm.
