Default Procharger Waterpump Clearance Mod?

Changing my leaking water pump I have come to realize it has been modified. The right hand side coolant flowing.. tube on the pump has been made to face the other direction from what it was factory. From what I gather, to allow the hose to clear the supercharger pulley.

I have also identified this as the source of my leak, is there a way to safely mod my new WP to make sure this is not repeated? Or perhaps another solution?

A shop did it last time, lesson learned on not doing all of my own work myself.

Thanks!

You are correct, that is moved to clear the supercharger pulley. I have not personally had any problem in the past moving that fitting around and having leaks. I just used a small pipe and rotated it in the housing.
