# side up on HG's? just making sure the side with the numbers on the head gasket face up right?
and do stock alum LT1 HG's have steel rings around the cylinders or were those not stock HG's I just pulled off? if they do how come the impala HG's don't have the rings? tia

ah never mind I figured it out! if anyone else is reading this wondering the same thing the number side does face up. of course if anyone knows the answer to my 2nd question please tell, I'm curious
