Default My H/C 355 Build is almost done! Few questions though

Alright guys, my build is almost done. The motor should be fully assembled at the end of this week/early next week. I had a few lingering questions though. I bought GMPP rods from Summit. Are the bolts that come with them upgraded? Or should I just go ahead and get some ARPs? Also what will my final compression ratio be when all is said and done? The heads were only milled .005 to clean up the surface. Cam will be a 228/236 .592/.592 110 LSA.

Guess I missed it the first time around, only saw it back at the top today.

Why is it though that people wait to ask these critical questions till they already committed? As he said in the first post he already bought the rods.

I'm aware they are stock. I needed new rods and I had coupons from summit so I bought those. I went ahead and upgraded all the bolts/studs to ARP

Thing is with pressed bolts the rods need to be resized when the bolts are changed so you would have spent more than buying a better aftermarket rod.

I would rather help people make the right purchase than tell them they made a mistake, but once it is done I think it important to note the mistake so nobody else searches and repeats it.

The shop that put it together for me resized them for free, but I do understand your point.

Any guesses on power? My heads did not flow near the amount i thought they would, they are right in between stock LT1 and LT4, but considering i spent 250 on them Im ok with that.
