Default temperature sensor question

wass up guys.
not long ago i change the temperature sensor and the waterpump on my 1997 Camaro z28 since then my temperature gauges is not accuarate at all.
Example: on a scanner the temperature is 220 but gauges is showing around 240.
for what i know Lt1 has 2 temperature sensors can it be the one on the valves?
what can i do to fix this problem?

Try a different sensor you could have a bad one. For example, I changed my Oil Pres sensor a couple of years a ago when I broke it and the new one read the pressure really low. So low I was worried I had a problem with my pump. Took it off and swapped it out for a new one and pressure was back up to normal. That's where I'd start.

The gauge sensor is actually located in the driver side cylinder head. The one in the water pump is for the PCM.
