longtube install
Well I've had these headers for a while now and I finally got enough courage to put em on haha. They're Hooker Super Comps.. they fit great.
While I was doing them I put on some polyurethane motor mounts, new plug wires, serpentine belt and got rid of the EGR and AIR..
I had a time getting those motor mounts in, that took the most work to get those in.. I haven't driven it much yet but so far I do like them. I drove it around some today and then took it the the muffler shop to have a Y pipe made. I have an electric cut out on the car now with the stock muffler.. I'm going to leave it that way.
I finished it up at 4am and cranked it up and backed it out of the garage.. I found out this morning that I woke up 2 of my neighbors.. haha
I'm trying to get some pictures up..

yeah it was scary trying to get my car up high enough.. In that one picture you can see its on a cinder block turned straight up.
There is one thing that bothers me though.. While driving it with open headers I noticed it didn't run right, which I sorta expected. It would feel like its loading up while I was just cruising at a constant speed. I had to get on it some, but then I'd feel it kick and it would run fine. Then I'd drive for a minute and it'd do it again.
Now that the Y pipe is on it does it if my cutout is open, but not if its closed. Does anyone have that problem?
I did use an O2 that was already extended, I don't know for sure that the O2 itself is good or not. I'm going to extend my O2 and see if it changes.
Also, for some reason my oil pressure gauge isn't reading right now. Its past maxed out. I'm thinking I banged it up or it came unplugged. I haven't checked it yet.. that wouldn't have anything to do with it would it?

More than likely you just bumped the sensor. I hit mine with a wrech when i was doing my header install, and it made the gauge read zero. Grabbed a replacement from Auto Zone and it's worked find since.

looks good man! Nice to see someone running some quality headers and not just cheap old pacesetters!
i remember doing my pacesetter install on my old 94. its a pain without a lift. i had my car up very high, at that point i was so sick of it i didnt care if the thing fell tho

yeah, I got a deal in those headers, I'm happy with them.
I would have never guessed they fit so well. I had to undo my steering shaft and take off my oil filter and the driver side went into place with a little pressure. The starter had to be taken off of the passenger side and it almost slid in. Both of them went in from the bottom.

I couldn't believe how much trouble the polyurethane motor mounts were. I had to drill out the stock ones which were sagging, I never realized it till I was reading on this forum that they do that.
But I had to trim down those new mounts quite a bit and fought with them to get them bolted in.
It honestly took me about 4 or 5 hours worth of work on those mounts no lie. My dad had to come help me on them too.

I have the same headers and just did the install. I put my passenger one in from the top i couldnt get the car high enough. But the driver side went in from the bottom without a problem. I like em gotta get a y-pipe made as well still! Looks good
