Fbody value?
I know it's sometimes hard to think about what our cars are worth nowadays, especially after how much we put into them. But I'm thinkin about gettin rid of mine and was wondering how much I should ask/expect to get for it. Everything I have done to it is in my sig plus a tranny rebuild. So if anyone has the slightest idea please let me know. I ask this because the blue book doesn't really give the justice our cars deserve.

$5k hopefully?
It sucks because the mileage is what will kill the value a good amount and you've dropped a lot of money. Is the car worth more than $4-$5k to you? If so, you might as well keep it

6k+ possibly, private party. Never bring it to a dealer. 4k isnt even worth selling it IMO unless you are extremely hard up for money, might as well keep it and run it into the ground.

The sad part is that the LT1 stuff just isnt bringing the money at all. Even the LS market has dropped. I'm contemplating selling mine and its only got 54,000 miles on it, an LPE 383 with more mods to motor, suspension, driveline, safety then can be listed. All high end stuff and attention to detail and I had wanted $12,000. No bites, nibbles, nothing...I was told I'dbe lucky to get $9000...Might as well keep it...

your best deal would be to take it back to stock, sell it as stock..and sell off your leftover parts..
these cars dont bring to bad of money especially if the paint and interior is in good shape..
around here locally the cheapest lt based car i found was a 97ta with like 90k miles on it, $6000 on a lot.. it looked to be garage kept in excellent shape actually, didnt drive it though..

when i picked up my lt1 this yr..94 z28 auto stock with just k&n cold air on it i paid $1500 for it an she has 151k on her..
body is in good shape, paint is faded on the hood and the fender needed to be repainted.
if i would or rated it
body/paint 6
interior 6
drive train 7
i can honestly say that right now from selling parts off it that once i sell my tire/rims,trans an converter and stock rear..i would be walking away with around 400-500$ cash in my pocket,a lt1 body/chassis an a lt1 engine as free/profit

Might as well keep it and save up money for another toy if you want.
I've been debating the idea of just throwing a cam-only setup into the LT1 and just enjoying that until I buy something nicer in a couple years
