ls1 lid with stock 93-97 firebird hood Hi guys
yesterday i finished the ls1 lid conversion on my 95 firebird.it's just a 3.4 V6 but i wanted to show you that it can be done with the stock firebird hood and where you have to cut the hood.The lid is the stock one from a camaro SS and the radiator support is from a 3.8 V6.
If i had trimmed a little the stock lid to become a little lower then i wouldn't have to cut the hood to close it but it would be a tight fit but soon i will replace the lid with the SLP one which is a little taller so i cut it anyway.
the throttle response is amazing and you can feel the difference,i can imagine how it will feel with the V8
