piston questions
So I was looking at a rebuild kit from summit and I'm wondering what the difference is between forged flat top pistons and dome pistons?
Which one is better for a nitrous set up? I plan on sticking N/A for a while but eventually going to the "crack in a bottle"

there is a lot more involved but to give a little incite... dome top will increase your compression. Usually requires race gas due to the lame gas we get now days.
The dished top pistons are for lowering the compression ratio for boosted applications. If you are not planning on boosting your engine go with the flat top pistons. Make sure you buy forged. They will work for nitrous when you are ready. Your engine builder will help out with the rest.

^^ thanks vert, that is exactly what I was looking for. I'm gonna go with the flat top forged piston kit from summit. It comes with everything I'm looking for and I'm gonna stick with the stock rods for now and go with ARP rod bolts. I plan on keeping the stock crank and going with .030 over pistons and mild porting of my heads.
I was originally gonna go with a 355 SR N20 set up but now I'm going more for a budget build that will be reasonably quick.
