Default What would you guys do?

Ive been trying to figure this out for awhile. I cant deciede at all lol.

Im getting closer to decision time also so that kinda sucks.

Ive taken my intake manifold off, and my exhaust manifolds off. Intake manifold needed a new gasket, Exhaust manifolds needed new long tubes. So Longtube headers are deffinetly in the plan. 3.73 gears are also on the list. I also am about 60% sure i want to do 1.6 rockers...40% sure i want to do the Scorpion 1.7 rockers. I say that because of this problem... I cant deciede if doing a cam is worth it or not. I also cant decide on a cam... the 3 i have in mind are the CC503, the A/I 226/234 and the XE 230/236.

My goal realistically is 12.0-12.2's and under. 11.99 would make my day.

Should i go for headers, 1.7 rockers/springs, 3.73 gears, Nitrous? Dont know if ill need a larger throttle body or not, no problem if i do.

Or should i go with headers, 1.6 rockers/springs, 3.73 gears and one of the cams.

Honestly the cam choice is what id rather do, just because i love lope.

I want to leave the car stock headed, but i dont care about streetability. I want to take the car out when i get the urge but its not a daily driver. Obviously stock heads/cam with nitrous will be excellant on the street. As far as Cams go i dont know which one to go with anymore. Of if there is even a cam i dont know of yet. The car is slowly turning into more of a weekend/strip car. No rear seats, drag radials (soon to be ET streets). Suspension will be a drag setup. So streetablitly isnt important, making it to the track and back which is mostly highway is all i need.

What do you guys think?

What times can be expected out of a these cams with bolt ons? I dont care about HP or dyno numbers. Ive done searches, but i cant seem to find enough information. Ill find numbers and what not, but then someone will throw in "oh btw it has mild home port heads on it" whatever.

yes yes yes yes i know we have the LT1 cam selection guide, i want reccomendations rather then reading cam profiles and if they can pass emissions lol. Maybe someone with a setup that ran close to 11's with one of the cams and bolt ons. Really appreciate it if it can be with stock heads tho. i dont want to take them off!

If leaving the heads on I would opt for the 503. It's a proven performer on stock heads and capable of high 11's. Upgrade the studs, springs, pushrods and install guide plates, nsa rockers. Stock cam, the upgrade and 1.7's.

1.6's with the 503, although I would try 1.7's just because.

Yea I think I would only do 1.7 on the stock cam.
