new motor,coolant overflowing??
i just put a new motor in my 93 trans am and i was running and staying cool.i took it for a ride and it started to get hot so i went back home 3 min away.it is pushing all the cooant from the radiator into the over flow tank and over flowing out of the tank.Is it possible that i didnt get all the air out? any suggestion appreciated

i think it needs to be bled more like you said it probably still has air in it or it created an air pocket while you were driving.
what shape was the radiator in? why did you replace the motor? do you know what shape the thermostat is in?

Check and make sure you didn't get the lines on the passenger side of the radiator mixed up.on runs to the overflow and the other the crossover for the heads. Seen it done before.

leon was right that was why it was over flowing i figured that out just before i got back on here,it is still getting hot so i let it cool all the way off and now im going to try to bleed the air out again.previous motor ran flawless but when i went to put a hotcam in it i found that my cam bearings were worn so i pulled the motor and rebuilt it and had heads freshened up.
